Cookies, and the choice is yours.

What cookies are

VC4 B.V. uses cookies to recognize you when you visit our website again. Cookies are small text files that a website places on your computer, tablet or mobile phone when you visit the website.

Information about your website visit is stored in these cookies. Personal information is processed with the placing of cookies. By using cookies, our website can recognise you when you visit our website. This can be useful, for example, if you do not want to log in again every time you visit the website.

Different types of cookies

We distinguish between functional and non-functional cookies. We always place functional cookies. These are necessary for the website to work properly. For example, they ensure that you can stay logged in on the website if you wish.

In addition to functional cookies, we also place standard analytical cookies. This is an example of a non-functional cookie. These cookies are not necessary for the proper functioning of the website. But with the information of these cookies we can see which pages are visited the most, which pages work well, and which pages show errors.

Only when you agree to the placing of cookies, we also place a number of other non-functional cookies. These all have different purposes, but enable us to improve our services. We use this information to improve the usability of the website or to display relevant advertisements for our services on other websites.

Online privacy, your choice

We think it is important that you have control over your online privacy. That is why we would like to inform you as completely as possible about which cookies we use and for what purposes. In the table below you can see which cookies we set by default when visiting the website, and what we place when you accept or refuse our cookies.

The cookies we place

The table below lists each individual cookie this website places, who sets it, what it does and how long it stays on your device. Cookies in the Advertising category are only placed if you accept them.

Functional cookies

Functional cookies are necessary for the website to function properly. These cookies are therefore placed by default and will not be deleted if you do not accept the cookies. As we said before, these cookies are mainly necessary for our website to work properly.

Cookies to measure visits

Analytical cookies allow us to measure the website visit. These statistics give us insight into how often our website is used, what information visitors are looking for and which pages are visited the most. This way we know which website parts are popular and in which places we can improve our website. We continuously analyse and improve the website to make the experience as pleasant as possible for our visitors. We cannot trace the statistics we collect to people (the data is used anonymously). We use Google Analytics to obtain insights from the data. We always place analytical cookies when our website is visited.

Analytical cookies collect, among other things, the following data:

1. Track the number of visitors on our web pages.
2. Keeping track of the duration of the visit.
3. The searches performed on the website.
4. Information about your browser and device with which you visit our website, such as operating system and screen size.
5. The way you ended up on our website, for example whether you clicked on one of our advertisements or on a link in an e-mail.

For more information about what Google does with the collected data, we refer to the privacy statement of Google. This statement can change regularly. We never provide third parties with your personal details (such as name, address, telephone number). Read more about how we handle personal data in our Privacy Policy.

Cookies to show advertisements from the VC4 website on other sites

VC4 B.V. uses online advertisements to bring our services to the attention. We prefer to do this as focused as possible, to keep costs down and not to show unnecessary advertisements. For this we use Google Ads and the Google Display Network. In this way we can advertise specifically and keep costs low.

These cookies make it possible to:

1. Keep track of which ads you have already seen. This prevents you from seeing the same ads too often.
2. Keep track of how many visitors click on our ads.
3. Keep track of how many visitors purchase a service from us after they have clicked on an advertisement. This is necessary to be able to analyse the effectiveness of advertisements.
4. Keep track of whether you have already received certain information from us. You will then not see unnecessary advertisements.

Even if you do not accept cookies, you can still come across advertisements from us online. Not all of our advertisements use cookies. Cookies make it possible to show you more relevant advertisements and no unnecessary advertisements.

For more information about what Google does with stored data, we refer to the privacy statement of Google. We have not given Google permission to use the obtained information for other Google services.

Block and delete cookies

If you do not want to have cookies from our website, then you can choose this in the cookie notification that you will see when you visit our website for the first time. If you have previously accepted our cookies, you will no longer see this message and you must first delete our cookies.

You can also choose to block the placing of cookies via your browser. If you block all cookies, websites may not work as well. It is better to selectively disable the unwanted cookies. You can do this in the settings of your browser. This also immediately blocks the cookies of other websites that you visit.
