S2C Platform Overview
Service2Create (S2C), The VC4 Platform

Manage your network and infrastructure with Service2Create

Service2Create is VC4's next-generation, cloud-native, low-code/no-code network inventory management platform that consolidates your physical and logical infrastructure into a single source of truth, with a built-in AI assistant that turns questions into answers in seconds.

Planning & Design

S2C Designer meets GIS.

Design and reality, on the same map. S2C Designer is S2C's planning and design environment, meshed directly with the GIS module, so every new rollout is designed against the live network, and every finished build flows back into inventory as-built. No exports, no redraws, no drift between plan and plant.

Design on the Live Network

Plan FTTH, P2P fiber and duct expansions directly in GIS context, against real trenches, ducts and capacity, not a stale copy of the network.

Auto-Routing & Optimal Paths

S2C Designer finds the optimal route automatically, factoring in real-time network constraints and capacity, down to street-level trench routing.

BOM/BOQ Straight from the Design

Generate Bills of Materials and Quantities directly from GIS-planned work orders, linked to warehouse stock, the right gear at the right site.

From Design to As-Built

Approved designs flow into S2C inventory as work orders; as-built feedback closes the loop, keeping map, database and field permanently in sync.

Where S2C fits

The layer in the middle.

Service2Create sits at the heart of your operations stack, the single source of truth between your business and operational systems above, and the live network below. It feeds accurate inventory up to BSS/OSS, and reconciles continuously with the network beneath.

S2C app in the field.

Take Service2Create out of the office and into the field. The S2C mobile application puts your live inventory, GIS maps, warehouse stock and work orders in the hands of field teams, running on the same data source as the desktop and web experiences. Capture a photo, a GPS position or a consumed spare, and the whole organization sees it immediately, with no separate mobile database to reconcile.

Configured, not custom-coded

One platform, many tailored apps.

The S2C mobile app is not one-size-fits-all. Modules, screens, fields, workflows, access and validation are all configured per app and per role through the Application Configurator, S2C's low-code / no-code CMS, so a survey technician, a warehouse operator and a network planner each get an app built for their job, without a single change to the core platform.

In practice that means very different apps from one platform: field site surveys with guided forms, GPS and photos against the right asset; warehouse and mobile van, treating an engineer's vehicle as a mobile warehouse so replenishment is prompted automatically; inventory and GIS in the field on a tablet, against the authoritative record; and non-telecom facilities such as power, utilities, smart cities, data centres and railways, a different asset domain on the same core product.

Fit to the Use Case

The app matches the real-world process, instead of the process bending to fit the software. Each user sees exactly what the task requires and nothing more.

Speed of Change

Changes are delivered in days rather than the weeks or months a traditional development cycle takes, because the work is configuration, not bespoke development.

Low Risk

Customizations sit on top of the platform, so they never fork or destabilize the core product, and they carry forward safely across upgrades.

Linux App Servers

Dedicated Mobile App servers on Red Hat, Ubuntu, Debian or CentOS. One is typically enough, plus a standby for high availability. Users connect over HTTPS.

Role-Based Access

Each user sees only the apps and data their function needs, which is how one platform delivers different tailored apps to different teams.

Connectivity

The apps run online, so field activity lands in the central data source immediately. Offline capture with later sync is on the roadmap.

Service2Create is VC4's next-generation, cloud-native, low-code/no-code platform for network infrastructure inventory management. It consolidates physical, logical, virtual and service assets, from trenches and fiber splices to MPLS routers and WDM nodes, into a single source of truth, with GIS, workflows, reporting and an AI assistant built in.
You decide how your app looks, how much integration you want, and which apps work best for your business, without heavy coding or costly add-ons. Screen layouts, workflows, fields and custom apps are configured within S2C itself, so your team adapts the platform to new challenges in days, not release cycles.
Both. S2C is available as a secure, cloud-based SaaS solution hosted by VC4, or deployed on-premises within your own environment, giving you the flexibility to run it wherever it makes the most sense for your organization and security requirements.
The AI Assistant uses natural language processing over your own inventory data, no technical expertise or complex queries needed. Ask "which fibers are nearing capacity?" or "show services impacted by the maintenance window" and it delivers smart reporting, data correlation, geo-processing and task automation in seconds.
S2C integrates through RESTful APIs with internal systems such as CRM, billing and ERP, and with external systems like vendor warehouses. Auto-discovery interfaces cover live telecom networks (MPLS/IP, WDM, GPON, WiFi, mobile), power networks, IoT devices, and IT and cloud networks, multi-vendor by design.
Through continuous auto discovery and network reconciliation. S2C monitors live network changes, detects discrepancies between the network and the database, incorrect routing, mismatched configurations, missing elements, and recommends corrections, so your single source of truth stays true without manual updates.
Create it. Integrate it. Accelerate it.

Don't just manage your network.
